John Noonan FILMINK (Australia) … creepy enough to get uncomfortably under the flesh and showcases a director willing to play around with the tropes of the genre. Rated: 13/20 Dec 9, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The film was fun. I enjoyed that it didn't come off like an everyday found footage movie. The film is more documentary than found footage. It explores the experiences of Meagan Mullen (the main character) in the film and how her obsession with the paranormal took over her life. Her obsession with solving the death of April (Fisher) launches a video blog about Meagan's amateur investigations into the cold case, which takes her down a deep and haunting rabbit hole of mystery and messages from beyond the grave. I do recommend this film to anyone into the paranormal. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review MILLS I liked the film. It was an interesting take on the found footage genre. I liked that is was more true crime like with a supernatural twist. I enjoyed how the film was paced. I would definitely recommend the film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review s l I'm not the biggest fan of found footage films. Some are okay but if it says found footage I usually don't choose to watch it. I did like Blair Witch but found footage can be a struggle to watch. This one was decent. It wasn't really scary. It wasn't really horrifying. Only a little bit creepy in a couple of places. But there just wasn't any real terrifying moment. It honestly seemed as if it should be more of a paranormal mystery. I thought the acting and filming were good but the story was just okay. There wasn't enough to the story to take this movie anywhere beyond just average. And the main character, as a character, was just average. We had to rely on those who knew her telling us just how wonderful and charismatic she was. It was never really shown in the story. I think the actress did well with what she had but nothing made the story pop. Maybe we just have to imagine that the main character is someone we know and love and so we wonder what in the heck is going on with that person. Is she losing touch with reality or is something out of the ordinary really happening to her? The ending did kind of keep me wondering just that past the story end, and maybe that's what made me still think it might be worth watching for some out there. If you're looking for high action or real terrifying horror, you might not be too down with this one. There's only one gruesome scene in it. And it's more like watching a true crime/mystery documentary, and I actually like watching those anyway so maybe that's what kept me watching. Also, wondering if a sequel might be somewhere in the works, though if so, they really need to step up their game. The other irritation with this film is the listed date on it. Apparently, according to this RT listing, it was made in 2012. And so now it is listed as being released in theaters in Dec 2022 and so they list the date of it as 2022 as if it's a brand new film. That should be fraud. Just because it's released in 2022 doesn't mean it was made then. Many looking might click on it thinking it's a brand new film. There are, in fact, reviews here and in other places made around the 2012ish time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I just got the DVD and watched it... it was a decent found footage type of movie... as you watched it you wanted to find out what actually happened to the April and the main actress... I enjoyed it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/02/15 Full Review Read all reviews
