matthias s "The Death of Superman" is a thrilling and emotional animated movie that captures the iconic comic book storyline with impressive detail. As a fan of the original comic book arc, I was pleased to see that the movie stayed faithful to the source material, while also adding its own unique touches. The animation is top-notch, with fluid and dynamic fight scenes that showcase the raw power of Superman and his foes. The voice acting is also excellent, with standout performances from Jerry O'Connell as Superman and Rainn Wilson as the villainous Lex Luthor. One of the movie's strengths is its focus on the human side of Superman, exploring his relationships with Lois Lane, the Justice League, and the people of Metropolis. These emotional moments add depth and weight to the story, making the final battle all the more impactful. "The Death of Superman" is a must-watch for fans of the Man of Steel and superhero stories in general. It's an engaging and well-crafted movie that does justice to one of the most iconic moments in comic book history. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/30/23 Full Review Warren R Honestly very well done, great humour as well, the battle scene was epic! Great film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/24/23 Full Review David W Absolute quality from start to finish. I loved the graphic novel and I adore this. Fantastic story (obviously), superb animation, direction and critically, superb voice acting from a great cast. Lots to love and nothing to dislike here. More from this canon please. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The Death of Superman is a must-see film for any fan of DC Comics or the superhero genre. The movie gives audiences a deeper look into the life of Clark Kent and introduces one of Superman's most iconic villains, Doomsday. The movie does a good job of developing the relationship between Lois and Clark, and Jerry O'Connell's voice acting as Superman is spot-on. The animation is smooth and helps to create some long, exciting fight scenes. However, some of the other Justice League members, such as The Flash and Green Lantern, seem to have their powers nerfed in the fight against Doomsday. The final showdown between Superman and Doomsday is a highlight of the film, as Doomsday proves to be an equally matched opponent for Superman. Overall, The Death of Superman offers great storytelling, superb voice acting, and impressive fight scenes, setting up its sequel, The Reign of The Supermen, well.
