Paul A Oct 26 Samuel Taylor Coleridge popularised the Greco-Roman theatre saying about the suspension of disbelief where we are prepared to overlook improbabilities in order to enjoy the narrative. Yes, I’m sure such cases of corporate negligence and local environmental terrorism for profit has happened, such as the case involving Teflon, but I don’t know if it would happen in the way portrayed in the film. But I found myself instead wholly sympathising and empathising with the central character whose farm has been polluted by the oil company for 10 years. We focus not on the legality of the case and what the firm would do to hush the victim up, but on the plight of the victim of this level of corporate greed and what they do. I usually can't stay engaged in legal drama, but the comedic moments in the movie kept me engaged in this one. The actors were really good. Purtroppo questo film delude sotto tutti i punti di vista; la trama è raccontata in modo raffazzonato e poco dettagliato, i personaggi sono stilizzati, piatti nei loro modi esagerati e nei loro comportamenti teatrali. In alcuni passaggi la trama è anche poco chiara; alcuni personaggi poi sono utilizzati come oggetti, pur restando bizzarri nei comportamenti, non viene raccontato nulla della loro storia.
