Joe G I like the idea, it was slightly different. However the horror aspect is tedious and tired. The ending isn't great and leaves some gaps in the story that remain unanswered. Worth watching if you really have nothing else to see but it wouldn't be a go to movie. Back on the shelf it goes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Emilliano Jr S What can you expect for a low budget B horror movie? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Diabolical? Perhaps just Dire would sum this up, on the plus side did make me laugh, not sure that was the intent though. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Very poorly executed, interesting concept. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review william k A conventional haunted house tale with a time travel twist is too ambitious for its own good and so loses most of its plausibility along the way, despite some cheap scares in between. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent movie, unexpected plot twist. Felt the acting was done well for the most part. Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times "The Diabolical" is a tepid horror-thriller that never manages to sell, much less clarify, its potentially ambitious concept. Oct 16, 2015 Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com None of the elements-the scary stuff, the psychological drama, the family-dynamic crises-really deliver the wallop necessary to provide truly memorable horror fare. Rated: 2/4 Oct 16, 2015 Full Review Mike McCahill Guardian Nothing out of the ordinary, but it'll keep anyone planning a Halloween all-nighter awake and interested. Rated: 3/5 Oct 15, 2015 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror An utterly contrived reveal leads to everything going completely mental, as the film tries desperately to be a dozen different things at once. Rated: 4/10 Sep 26, 2019 Full Review Deirdre Crimmins Film Thrills Easily one of the more ambitious films I have seen from a first time director. Aug 20, 2018 Full Review Andrew Pollard Starburst By the time things do spark to life, even the most Red Bull-fuelled of viewers will feel themselves dozing off.
