Critics Consensus

The Disappointments Room lives down to its title with a thrill-free thriller that presumably left its stars filled with regret - and threatens to do the same for audiences.

Disappointments has the strange confidence of a much slicker, more decisive movie, and all of its sort-ofs don't add up to much. Go to Full Review

This spooky house flick would be better off locked up in the attic and forgotten for good. Go to Full Review

With a lack of vision, missing frights, and a bizarre conclusion, this film is, well, a disappointment. Go to Full Review

Francis S Nov 22 It's hard to say what went wrong in this movie. There are times where bad movies are a guilty pleasure to watch. But this one is irritating for his banality and bad direction. Scenes are just cheap scares without any buildup. Utter garbage, terrible acting with unlikable characters and loose ends left everywhere. Do yourself a favour, avoid like the plague. I think it was the acting of the husband that put me off See more Justin T 12/05/2024 This film is a huge disappointment. Mostly because nothing happens. Let me summarise the film, a family who lost their daughter move into a house in the countryside. The mother has visions and loses her mind and then it ends. It is so boring. The characters are dull which makes them unengaging. Her hair and makeup is distractingly perfect for the entire movie. It's only really the last 25 minutes that are barely watchable but even then the emotional switcheroo is hard to believe. This film also undermines the emotional impact of a family losing a child as it is so badly handled. This is borderline unwatchable garbage. See more Read all reviews
