Michaela Conlin

A flair for portraying dramatic and emotionally layered characters paved the way for a successful career for Michaela Conlin, whether it was on television or in films. She was born on June 9, 1978 in Allentown, PA to a Chinese-American mother and an Irish-American father. Acting since she was six, Conlin attended Parkland High School before graduating from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a theater degree. Following graduation, Conlin landed small parts on television shows and appeared on the reality series "The It Factor" (Bravo, 2002-03), which followed struggling actors in New York City as they attempted to break into show business. Conlin relocated to Los Angeles, California to star on the drama "MDs" (ABC, 2002-03), as an idealistic intern who was being mentored by two renegade doctors. She made inroads with appearances on dramas like "JAG" (NBC, 1995-96; CBS, 1997-2005) and "The D.A." (ABC, 2004), playing an aggressive political consultant. Apart from TV projects, Conlin also had roles in films like the Disney comedy "Enchanted" (2007) and the thriller "The Lincoln Lawyer" (2011) with Matthew McConaughey. One of Conlin's most successful roles was on the hit series "Bones" (Fox, 2005- ), about a socially inept forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and a cocky FBI agent, Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) as they investigate mysterious deaths. Conlin played a forensic artist who was constantly trying to coax her friend and colleague Brennan to get out of the lab and have a social life.
