Dave S Despite having some decent production values, unusual for this kind of movie, The Disembodied proves to be a frustrating, albeit brief, viewing experience. Set somewhere in Africa, a doctor and his wife, who turns out to be some sort of voodoo princess, live in the jungle among the natives, all of whom speak with a weird Tarzan-like accent. With a running time of only 65 minutes, the movie could have afforded to take the time to explain some basic issues. Why is the doctor living in the jungle? Why did the wife become involved in the dark arts and why does she sashay through the underbrush in a sexy dress and high heels? Why are the characters so intent on slapping each other? Unfortunately, these and many other questions remain unanswered, making The Disembodied a frustrating mess. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
