Sebastian Zavala Kahn Más Gamers A disappointing production, a decently animated movie with designs faithful to the game, that lacks a decent story or well-defined characters. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 2/5 Jun 16, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member One of the most rare things I come across is legitimately unique and compelling artistic expression that has virtually zero justification for its existence, and 'Colorful' is a solid example of this. Perhaps it's a bit unfair, as 'Colorful' also acts as a minimalist artistic reconstruction of the mental state of men when they're suddenly aroused, and honestly it's entertaining and accurate...if just woefully repetitive. Many of these situations are completely relatable, most men having experienced them and the resulting appearance that time has come to a standstill for a bit, and these bits are slightly amusing. However, none have any kind of plot, or even dialogue, and in many ways it's the brief flashes of imagery and sound that separate these that is the most interesting. This isn't a movie or following any narrative structure -- it's almost like Robot Chicken in that it's a bunch of skits, only here, instead of it being broken up with a channel-change, it's broken up by high-energy moments of artistic surrealism. These little flourishes are actually kinda wonderful, and honestly the rest of it is fine - it's crass, it's repetitive and almost entirely pointless, but I can't say it's entirely dull.
