Lewd, crude and very very silly--The Emu War is a completely over the top reimagining of a real 1932 military operation, wherein the army attempted to cull the wheat-crop-eating western emu population with heavy artillery, and lost. In this (extremely loose) version Major Meredith (Damian Callinan), whose son was kidnapped by the Emus, leads a motley crew of soldiers behind Emu enemy lines to find and destroy the Emu Queen. Cue explosions, puppets, mind-boggling effects and a surprising amount of explicit romance.

Douglas W This movie was one of the worst I have ever seen in my life. I did not even crack a smile let alone laugh. With a topic such as the Emu War the humour should have been easily written, instead you get a big pile of Emu dung. This movie is so devoid of humour that they relied on toddler humour to carry it.....well it didn't..... just garbage. Who ever said in other reviews that it's "great" or funny, must either have a hand in the making of this crap, or knows somebody associated with it. It definitely contained WTF moments....an adult man drinking milk from giant sagging titties from the Queen Emu, a women was asked to pleasure the Queen Emu's Cloaker and the disturbing male three-way to burn down some iron gates.... The one scene that now makes me feel like burning my eyeballs was the ghost giving his dead corpse a blow job. It was so bad it wasn't funny. It's embarrassing that it was Australian.
