09/18/2013 "Gulp", "Oh No", "WTF", "How is that guy smiling?", "I take my hat off dear sir" are things I repeatedly said throughout this stark documentary on the prevails of a surgeon with a heart bigger than london itself. Please note that you may have to hide behind your hands (like I did) when watching the brain tumour removal scene! A devastating yet also optimistic documentary that makes you believe one person can truly make a difference in the world. See more 09/25/2012 "Life is cruel" and this film is a masterpiece. It explores the extent and the limits of the human condition, without leaving a garden path outside the gates at the end. It takes about 10 minutes to forget you are watching a documentary film and much longer to forget some of Dr Smith's patients.
