Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he's done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Went in having never seen any of the other Equalizer films and thought the movie was awesome. Basically retired Creasy from Man on Fire trying to enjoy a nice cup of espresso and needing to kill a drug cartel to achieve it. He doesn’t even seem that bothered by it. Light work. Would I watch this again? Yes, and I’m now motivated to watch the previous 2 films.

I’m not going to lie I was hyped to see this and I’m glad I did. You really can’t go wrong with a “good bad guy movie”. There is something different about an assassin that kills bad guys and Denzel quite literally murders his role.

Synopsis
