Tom Russo Boston Globe It might not be quite the "adventure film" that the press materials promise, but it's a diverting enough variation on familiar environmental-crisis studies. Sep 11, 2014 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Dencik's travelogue reveals a journey with curious traces of the past, eye-popping encounters with a wild present and ... a weighted reminder of our future as stewards of the Earth. Sep 4, 2014 Full Review Farran Smith Nehme New York Post The movie reveals some of the most stunning landscape cinematography imaginable, while everyone on the isolated ship waxes philosophical - as who would not? Rated: 3/4 Aug 21, 2014 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine ...even the film were silent, its eerie landscapes are so breathtaking, and serenely composed, that we'd still be entranced. Aug 13, 2019 Full Review John Fink The Film Stage The reassuring note that comes at the end of the journey isn't quite its thesis and, like the film, offers up no easy answers in spite of its search. Rated: B Mar 12, 2016 Full Review Robin Clifford Reeling Reviews Man is changing the environment far faster than we can cope with it and our intrepid explorers bring that point to home with a clear note of urgency. Audience Member Wow, we laughed the whole way. What a wonderful way to waste some time. This is the story of 6 weird drunks who steal a boat and park it in a secluded ice cove. The drink. They talk surface gibberish philosophy about the human condition. They gave me hope I could produce feature films out of my van with little to know training. I literally had to sign up for a account just to leave a review. If you love beautiful landscapes coupled with very random heavy metal music then you will love this movie. One of the drunks flew and crashed an airplane into the ocean. It was given no explanation. The drunk artist (and I use that term loosely) almost shot his own face off with a shotgun. No explanation was given. They all did a lot of hallucinating and then shot at a polar bear with a flare gun. My God!!!! I loved this movie. I have never seen anything like it. If you do any drugs or even if you just drink really heavy, this is a movie to sit and watch with 5 funny friends. I watched it dead sober with my girlfriend. It was still a riot. Enjoy PS. You official "critics" are clown shoes. Thank you for proving to me why people need to think for themselves. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought this would be different -- some cool images but the discussions and concerns seemed shallow, and the danger of going insane in this landscape did not strike me as a real one. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member The ending was was a bit short. Up to that point though you felt engrossed in the surreal surrounding they put themselves into. Almost to a dark point where the frailty of life was at it's peak. What a great adventure these men took. This had a frontier feel you don't see much in the modern age. Man has much more to explore. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member if you like movies where boring people are pushing their "religion" of global warming disguised in "spontaneous" conversations with each you'll love it. I couldn't finish - makes me truly wonder if the critics are scared to tell the truth about how bad these agenda driven propaganda movies are out of fear of offending the kooks who worship this nonsense Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Really cool documentary! I like the humour and rapport amongst the expedition team members. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful scenery, disjointed musings. Not worth the time Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
