Rather ugly cinematography and visual effects thanks to it being made by the BBC, but the telling of the behind the scenes of the Falklands war was engaging enough despite minimal action and lots of talking. The plot was fine besides the rushed ending and an obvious bias in favour of the British, the pacing was acceptable, and the acting was reasonable. However, it wasn't clear who everybody was all of the time, and there were barely any Argentinian government officials shown. It would have been nice to have seen some actual combat as well rather than a few clips off the news. Lastly, I don't remember there being any soundtrack, which made things a bit more bland.

The film employs full details of the planning, all of which manage, remarkably, to produce something of the feelings of preparations for the D-Day landings-no small testament to the urgency of the situation the film succeeds in bringing to life.
