The Fighting Preacher, is a bit uneven but overall it succeeds in telling a sentimental true story about tolerance, kindness and how a Christian spirit will win over hate every time.

The moments of sincerity and drama tend to work more consistently than the comic beats, but a strong character arc and an instructive message give "Fighting Preacher's" unique story some worthwhile meat

Christensen has explored early history of the church before, with pioneer tales like "17 Miracles" and "Ephraim's Rescue," but here his focus is not on great accomplishments but small ones.

Phenomenal story. I could watch this again and again! My kids absolutely loved it. So many topics of conversation each time we watch it. Met the producer last night and the theater applauded him. Can hardly wait to see the next story he tells!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie... I've never heard of this person before and watching this story play out was a wonderful look into the past. I highly recommend it to everyone.
