Set during WWII this is the story of Jarah's coming-of-age in a brutal and lawless land -- growing from a sweet child to a strong, independent and ferocious woman taking on Australia's corrupt and bigoted system one bad guy at a time. In the best tradition of the gunslinging outlaw, when the enigmatic Jarah is pushed to the limit she explodes in a fury of retribution. But for a revenge western there is a surprising series of twists and turns that lead us closer to redemption and reconciliation.

Jason Delgado Film Threat I was too traumatized by the indignities that happened prior to enjoy any of the violent mayhem that followed. Rated: 5/10 Feb 17, 2022 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film It doesn't follow the familiar rules of the revenge movie and doesn't provide the same type of satisfaction. McIntyre is more interested in finding real solutions. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 4, 2021 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee A contradictory jumble of themes, ideas and characters that undermines any valuable points that McIntyre is trying to make about colonialism and racial hatred. Leigh M Incoherent and historically deceiving. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall, this is a touching Australian film with enormous praise going to the film's visuals and sound effects. The film has many other positives and a few elements that I'm honestly half and half on. Some of these include strong performances, unusually quick flashbacks that only sometimes worked for me and the film's general pace. Nevertheless, this film is oozing with passion from the film's director and writer as they deliver a touching and brutal story to the big screen. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The acting and overall setting and nature of this movie were so good. and by so good, I mean so bad. By bad, I mean Michael Jackson bad. Like how bad he looked at the end of his life. This 'thing' was a rollercoaster of emotion, between wanting to gauge my eyes out and switching it off. The name was also very misleading. Overall, this movie was just plain bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
