Audience Member Just finished watching the movie. I think the story line was decent. The movie did not flow well and there were some scenes that seemed to be completely out of place and in the wrong movie. The Freemasons were not shown in a negative light but could have been shown more favorable without giving away any true secrets. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Superb movie. Thrilling, powerful performance from Sean Austin. It kept me on the edge of my sofa. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The Freemason was obviously an independent film with a modest budget. The film quality is low and this film more resembles a TV movie than a theatrical release. If you can get past that aspect than your expectations should be where they need to be to enjoy this film. The mystery aspect of this film was well done. I did not foresee some of the turns that came in the film. The in-depth look into freemasonry was fascinating. The acting/script was poor in random parts of the movie but overall the actors did well. Sean Astin turned in a good performance worthy of his pedigree. This movie is similar to The Librarian TV movies and the National Treasure movies albeit on a much lower budget. If you enjoy these types of films than give The Freemason a try.
