Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is Lon Chaney Jr. stars in this fourth "Inner Sanctum Mystery," as a hypnotist riddled with guilt and women who are in love with him. It's watchable but easily forgettable. There are better Chaney films to spend your time on out there. Rated: 2/5 Feb 22, 2021 Full Review Ken Hanke Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC) The movie seems a lot better than it probably is if you stop to examine it very closely. But why on earth would you want to do that? Rated: 4/5 Jan 17, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I am still trying to figure out how the title relates to the movie. Except for the late Lon Chaney, Jr's performance there is nothing that makes this movie worth seeing. The script for this movie is not well written. What makes Alex Gregor's character (Chaney) quit the profession makes him famous does not make any sense. He is overcome with guilt despite the fact that it was clearly proven the incident was not his fault. The subsequent story is less horror and more old formulaic murder mystery which is a bit misleading. The poster and the movie's title suggest horror but that is clearly not the case. "The Frozen Ghost" is a dull boring disappointment that is not worth your time. Lon Chaney, Jr. has done better. Much better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Elena Verdugo! (Later of Marcus Welby fame) Hokey, obvious, derivative Wax Museum Mesmerism Mash-up led by Lon Chaney Jr. Has an intense musical score and old time radio charm. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review bill t Perfectly fine addition to the Inner Sanctum series, a series that does have it's hits and misses, but usually hits, but only slightly. This entry, with it's usual star Lon Chaney, features a hypnotist who has a participant who dies during a demonstration, and thus he believes he actually willed him to die! Unscrupulous people take advantage of this, and the whole thing evolves within, yes, a wax museum. Sometimes silly and illogical, the premise is there, but the delivery is somewhat ridiculous. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Mystery In the Wax Museum--Frozen!! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly fun and atmospheric, though I'm not sure the resolution added up to anything. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member it's hard not to give all the inner sanctum movies at least 3 stars. As the wind and rain are lashing at your window at midnight tune in to Donald Hoffman's disembodied head telling you that even you can commit murder and you're transported to a great black & white age of mystery and suspense. this one has the lovely evelyn ankers and a wax museum, great.
