J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Like The Corporation, this presents complicated economic issues in language ordinary viewers can understand and conjures up a chilling landscape. Jun 28, 2022 Full Review Ted Fry Seattle Times The Future of Food carries an important warning that deserves heed. The problem is it will likely be preaching only to a duly incensed choir, which is its greatest pity. Rated: 2/4 Nov 23, 2005 Full Review Michael Booth Denver Post Garcia subscribes to the simplistic and patronizing theories that consumers are hapless victims, force-fed things they don't want by conniving corporations and conspiratorial governments. Rated: 1/4 Oct 21, 2005 Full Review Dorothy Woodend The Tyee (British Columbia) The film takes on one of the most important subjects of this time, maybe of all time, and in this light, I wished that the filmmaker was more up to the challenge. Aug 24, 2017 Full Review Christopher Null Filmcritic.com Rated: 3/5 May 6, 2006 Full Review Doug Cummings Filmjourney With alarming and concise analysis, it highlights the way traditional farming in the US has become a corporate-controlled, less diversified business with global repercussions. Audience Member A very good documentary about biotech food. Not just the possible dangers of the consumption of the food as addressed by Japan and Europe, but also about patent laws on life. Watch this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Great topic but it seems to rest on that. Still, very eye-opening and a good reminder of why organic produce may be worth the extra expense. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice try, but falls short on many levels. Looks like an attempt to do something like "Food, Inc" but without even a cursory understanding of editing or building visual narratives. A nice song for the choir, but nobody outside of the proverbial meetinghouse is going to come in to hear it otherwise. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot of horrifying information about modern food production, its aggressive embrace of GMOs and the terrifying result. Very dryly presented. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Has some good points to make but not enough to fill 90 minutes worth of film in an interesting way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This film was a very one-sided example of how large corporations are running out the family farm. The information presented was very compelling. It makes the viewer stop and think about what is really going on with our food. This being said, a major downside to this film is it did not present a solution to the problem until the last ten minutes of the movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
