Steven E. @sbestes 1d Excellent. Must watch for the holidays. See more Mama L @Mindiferous Dec 10 We have to watch this every year! It's truly a family Christmas story of redemption and love conquering all. We had it on tape but this year bought the DVD so we can watch it over & over. See more Kyle W 12/11/2024 This movie is carried by the fantastic acting by the entire cast. It's a refreshing watch if you do not watch older movies often. If you are sentimental, then this will tug at your heart strings. For others, I could see how it might be a bit predictable. Although this is a family movie, the themes are very adult & it does not end with an overtly sappy or happy ending. Although it's predictable & see through it has a likable quality to it & despite the lack of quality being a TV Movie I feel it still holds up. The father Ed Hasner was a staple in the Christmas Film genre for made for TV Films over the years. It's a nice story of redemption & better than some of those other Christmas TV Films.
