Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Granted, The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story would benefit from more focus on Robinson's recovery process and success to make it as informative as it is sensational. Jun 6, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Oliviana M I think this is an amazing movie, and it is very educational. I am 12, and I think it would be great to show your kids. It has no explicit parts to it an and overall they executed it perfectly. I would say a good age to watch this is if their mature than 11+ if not 12 or 13+. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/24 Full Review Sophie A I thought it was gonna be better. I don’t think it was good! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Tamara M The actress is so good. This is the best true to life thrill movie! 👍🏻 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review Audience Member this movie is genuinely really sad and heartbreaking, but it’s a good movie. i love katie douglas also; her acting is incredible! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/31/24 Full Review Jr B I give this movie an 8.5! Very surreal and heart felt. Main character really made you have the feels. Recommended for sure. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Jasmine G Although the concept of the movie was easy to grasp, various devices that could've made the movie and story more compelling were absent. There was very little character building and development. The audience did not get a chance to get to know the main character, Kara, before or after the kidnapping. There was very little insight given into her personal life or relationships. If these details were included, it would have made for a better story as the audience could feel more connected to the character. The same issues apply for the kidnapper. Kidnapping and assault is an unsettling topic alone, but more insight in to the background, mindset, and life of the kidnapper would've allowed the audience to be more engaged and provide a deeper understanding.
