Michael Talbot-Haynes Film Threat The Girl Who Got Away is smart, well made, and IT"S COMING TO GET YOU! Rated: 9/10 Sep 8, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film As long as you don't invest too heavily in its early promise, you'll find it a passable piece of entertainment. Rated: 3/5 Aug 27, 2021 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT The premise may seem simple, but the story is an involved one with great characters and developments. Aug 22, 2021 Full Review Jared Mobarak The Film Stage You might not have all the pieces fitting perfectly, but hindsight quickly fills in the blanks. That's a testament to an underrated script and a deceivingly worthwhile film. Rated: B- Aug 19, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Anthony R I almost shut it off and went “ok Halloween with a female Michael Myers” I’m glad I didn’t. Ok , I saw the plot coming a mile away but I usually do so that’s not important (no lie I called the sixth sense and scream 1/4 into the movie - seriously I did ) but what I didn’t call is characters that I actually cared about , a death that shocked me and the perfect slasher ending a scenes. I really really want to stress that it’s a little of a slow burn until all hell breaks loose but (takes 1/2 the movie to really start up) but it had something slasher don’t have anymore- exposition. Very good. Very very good Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Daniel L Don't be fooled by the high rating. There are a few bright spots: Chukwudi's performance is excellent. The score that sets an appropriate tone. The camera work is quite good. But it's a movie that relies on characters and interpersonal drama, and it absolutely fails at building the characters and their movitations. In any way that makes any kind it sense. Attitudes shift on a dime. Useful information is withheld between characters for reasons that are left to The imagination. Exposition is handled like a brick, and the dialogue...*the dialogue*...it's clunky, unnatural, overwrought, written like "generic teenager" or "generic woman with a troubled past" or "generic corrupt politician". The scene of the "home visit" in particular almost made me do a spit-take. The twists are telegraphed, and then reversed. Then maybe not? Oh, but the writer likes this main character too much. Ugh. It's all an unwieldy metaphor for how the main character feels about herself. It's bad. Really, really, really bad. Truly awful. Don't waste your time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review Chancellor W This movie started well, had a great premise, and had some truly creepy moments. But it didn't stick the landing and became a smidge of a confused mess towards the end. Plot holes and other ill-defined plot points derailed the sense of dread it invoked in the first half. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review Twiggy H Nope, not even worthy of a having a written review. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/24 Full Review Teri K Cheesy and predictable. Some of the acting is good, but not all of it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/27/24 Full Review Bill D Infuriating ending. While the plot twists you are waiting for do finally arrive they are unexplained and implausible. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
