Greg S Nick Nolte just knocks this role out of the park. He's absolutely spectacular. Possibly even better than his Oscar nominated turn in Warrior from 2011. His co-star is a decent actor and a whale of a singer, but it is truly Nolte who does the heavy lifting and artfully carries the film. What a really nice watch this is. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/04/25 Full Review Kelvin W What a great feel good mentor film. Nick Nolte is a genius level actor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/25/25 Full Review Sal D Very well acted film in need of a little less cliches to rise above the rest. nick Noltr’s performance kept me engaged but his arc is so utterly predictable that it was just a matter of timing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/12/25 Full Review F C We just don't see enough of Nick Nolte. Such a tear jerker movie. As usual, Nick played the character of Barry so well. Supportive, caring, not judgemental, guiding and gently teaching. As the movie goes on we learn about how God guided Barry and KJ's life to the time they meet, support and care for each other. It was as if Barry was KJ's guardian angel...eventually, well, just watch the movie, but, have your tissues nearby. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review Susan B An remarkable movie. Heartfelt life lessons through interesting characters. Thank you Nick Nolte for a stupendous performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review AE J You're lucky when you get to see a movie with heart, they're rare, rarer still when the film is ALL heart. Always good intentioned sometimes bordering on schmaltzy a story can't falter too much when the emphasis is on what matters, God, decency, purpose and the difference kindness makes in everyday people's lives. Nolte dazzles in a role practically written for him and Jones shines as a kid with some acting skills and pipes to match. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/25 Full Review Read all reviews
