The Good Neighbor ist ein Mystery-Thriller von Stephan Rick (Regie und Drehbuch)... Die aufkeimende Freundschaft zwischen zwei sehr unterschiedlichen Nachbarn nimmt eine tragische Wendung… Eine dunkle Geschichte über die Konsequenzen, die eine tiefe moralische Verzweiflung auslöst… Dabei verdichtet sich die Handlung und steigert sich zu einem Höhepunkt… gut inszeniert mit einer guten schauspielerischen Leistung… Kurz gesagt… Vorhersehbar, aber ein guter Thriller…

The protagonist is way too trustful for a 30-something adult, especially a journalist. One character detects a false alibi before the police who could easily have known or discovered. Ending is not tight and a let-down.
