Eloise Smyth
British actress Eloise Smyth rose quickly from juvenile player to starring roles in such film and television efforts as "The Frankenstein Chronicles" (ITV Encore, 2015- ) and "Harlots" (ITV/Hulu, 2017- ), as well as "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" creator John Cameron Mitchell's much-anticipated feature "How to Talk To Girls at Parties" (2017). She made her screen debut at the age of 17, playing a London girl pulled into a network of drug dealers and other criminals, in "Ill Manors" (2012), a drama directed by musician Ben Drew, who performed under the moniker Plan B. Supporting roles in features like the horror comedy "Love Bites" (2012) and the popular television series "The Frankenstein Chronicles" and "Fortitude" (Sky Atlantic, 2015- ) boosted her visibility among viewers, but 2017 proved to be Smyth's breakout year. She was cast as a series lead in the ITV/Hulu drama "Harlots," about an 18th century London resident (Samantha Morton) raising her daughters (Smyth and Jess Brown Finday of "Downton Abbey," ITV/PBS, 2010-2015) in a brothel. That same year, she was also featured in the comedy "How to Talk to Girls at Parties," about alien girls studying the behavior of punk rockers in 1970s London.
