To show support for his neighborhood friends serving in Vietnam, Chickie Donohue (Zac Efron) decides to do something totally outrageous: travel to the frontline by himself to bring the soldiers a little piece of home -- their favorite can of American beer. In The Greatest Beer Run Ever, [war] sort of is made for television. The filmmakers try to have their PBR-flavored cake and eat it too—and that just doesn’t fly in a movie about the lies and deception of mass murder that was Vietnam.

good action, comedy, and drama. felt a little long but I don't know what you'd cut it. I liked the character growth of the main guy and how it showed how you can be conflicted on issues and not just on one side.

Great movie, but make no mistake... the hippies didn't care at all about our soldiers...in fact, they hated our soldiers. Never forget they spat on our boys when they came home. I wish this movie was a little more honest about the portrayal of them.
