      Critics Consensus

There's some creepy imagery to be found, but not much in the way of logic or truly jarring scares.

Emilliano Jr S Its better to watch the Japanese original than this mediocre adaptation. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Larry L Once again one of my favorite ghosts films. Once again I have to ask the question do you actually watch these movies. We must have some really blood and guts critics because if the movie doesn't have blood and guts in it they don't like it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Christopher C Pointless. Complete waste of 92 minutes. The back story is complete garbage and the rest is a product of that garbage. [Spoiler] Oh boo hoo my wife likes another guy but hasn't even cheated....better murder everyone. Even the cat. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review alessandra p I am interested to watch the original Japanese version. I think it was a solid early 2000's style horror. It was definitely slow in some parts, and the sfx and jump scares were more funny than scary, but still I believe a very strong horror classic. Would I watch it again? No. I would recommend it to horror beginners or people who scare easily, those will probably find it terrifying. Some parts were great and graphic, not disappointing by any means but nothing to write home about. I will still probably watch all the other ones though just to be able to say I have and understand the genre and times better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review Alex R Loved it, dont understand the massive dislike for the movie. Great American remake. I do love the original more though. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/20/23 Full Review Mu S Por mais que tenha péssimas avaliações, O grito consegue trazer uma trama sensacional e ótimo enredo com um plot twist chocante.
