Synopsis
Based on a true story, this drama looks at the brief life of avant-garde writer Danil Harms (Frano Lasic). Renowned as an eccentric, the poet and children's literature author runs afoul of Soviet authorities due to his leftist and anti-Communist views. Eventually imprisoned in Leningrad, Russia, on grounds of treason, Harms remains defiant and unrepentantly nonconformist. In this unconventional film, Harms is visited by an angel and lives out his final days in jail.
