Audience Member One of the best movies i watched.... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an excellent Russian made film that is very much in the style of such epics as Ivan the Terrible or Alexander Nevsky. You get the grit and grimy feel of Medieval slavery and torture, combined with the backstabbing melodrama of the Khan's court and the exaggeratedly selfless suffering of the priest sent to perform a miracle for the Tsar of all Tsars (the Khan). Most of the action takes place in Sarai Batu and revolves around the attempts to cure the Khan's mother of her blindness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best movies I watched this year, as good as "the Mongol". Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Finally a good movie from Russia. Not so good as Mongol but close. Maybe both films so good because not so many russians in there? :) Anyway... I really enjoyed The Orde - acting script sound - well done. Especially I would like to mention an image of Timer (palyed by Fedot Lvov). Timer not just a messenger of Khan Jani Beg not only a warrior but philosopher as well. His laconic talk full of sense and wisdom. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
