Joe Leydon Variety A vivid up-close view of the travails of U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Jun 2, 2014 Full Review Daniel M. Gold New York Times Mr. Boettcher knew those men, puts faces to their names. As he says, every soldier's story is different, and they all bear telling. May 29, 2014 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times "The Hornet's Nest" is a kinetic, immersive experience, particularly in its deeply felt human moments. May 29, 2014 Full Review Rob Humanick The Berks-Mont News "...little more than lip service to the horrors, and ethical challenges, of modern war." Sep 24, 2014 Full Review Ron Wilkinson It's Just Movies Great live action footage fails to make up for poor narration and organization. Rated: 6/10 Jul 8, 2014 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The result isn't as cumulatively powerful as intended, but it remains politically even-handed and offers some immersive insight along the front lines. Melva K It's a great documentary. Shows what our military goes through. Reporter risks his life to be able to film and show civilians of what happens out there. I totally recommend watching it, it's a good eye opener. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Christian M This was an extremely captivating true story about the war on terror with footage from a father and sun duo of war correspondents. It's amazing how the film includes footage from the American war correspondents as well as the taliban. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Karen F Military propaganda. Terrifying to think of a loved one here Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/02/23 Full Review Audience Member The Hornets Nest comes with incredible footage of real-time warzones, and respectfully pays tribute to the courageous soldiers who participate in them. However, at times the documentary feels inauthentic, and dare-I-say-it, a little self-serving towards the reporter who filmed it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Plenty of action & bravery throughout. Also, the swearing was funny... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review greg r Incredible documentary about true American heroes Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
