Synopsis
One of the world's fastest and most dangerous boating competitions, the Trans-Pacific Yacht Race spans from San Pedro, Calif., to Honolulu, Hawaii, and draws entrants from all over the world. In 1997, one of those teams was composed entirely of HIV-positive men, with a ship appropriately named "Survivor." This documentary chronicles the Survivor's amazing 10-day voyage, as well as examining the crew members' abilities to undertake such a journey even against incredible odds.
