Based on the acclaimed, contemporary love story of the same name, The Idea of You centers on Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter's trip to the Coachella Music Festival after her ex bails at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with Hayes and there is an instant, undeniable spark. As they begin a whirlwind romance, it isn't long before Hayes' superstar status poses unavoidable challenges to their relationship, and Solène soon discovers that life in the glare of his spotlight might be more than she bargained for.

Its not so easy to find a movie that touches us deeply. This movie can do it in a very gentle way. We can feel what Anne's is feeling during the entire moving. How bad we are with the women as a society. How bad internet could be with everyone. So true, so actual. Congratulations! A very nice friday night spent.

Great chemistry between Anne and Nicholas! I know it was based on a novel but they should’ve developed the story a bit more. Was missing a little something. The five year jump could’ve been developed further.

This one was worth a watch for me. There are definitely some holes in areas of the plot, but for the most part the story was pretty well done. I thought Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine were great in this. The soundtrack is also really, really good. Give it a watch.

Synopsis
