Based on the acclaimed, contemporary love story of the same name, The Idea of You centers on Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter's trip to the Coachella Music Festival after her ex bails at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with Hayes and there is an instant, undeniable spark. This is a story of a woman who got divorced in her 40s and fell in love to a man in his 20s who is a boy band star. The start and the development of the story is pretty decent, nothing special but a story fun to watch. The author touches some unique spots in the story, such as celebrities' life decisions are unnecessarily criticized by the media. Overall, the story is going around the age gap between the couple which is well portrayed in the film, so I quite liked the way the director handled the story. This is an entertaining film for the people who crave a romantic movie. I totally recommend it to those.

Wow, This movie was amazing in my opinion if you live romance that you can feel your gonna love this the scenes feel like your really in them it’s so good the only part I wish was better was that they showed more about what happened after 5 years but still 5/5 for this it’s so well put together. So make sure to put this one on your watch list.

i was terrified that i wasnt going to like it. i had read SO many reviews that made me confused and hesitant, so i just put it on for the background music as i cleaned. but this movie was captivating, the acting was on point, and i really did like the storyline, though the age gap was bigger then i was comfortable with, it made the acting so much more:
