Though shot for television on a low budget, this is a sumptuous experience. Go to Full Review

Its sad and bittersweet effects are slowly achieved in brooding, garrulous, overly introspective style, except by Jeanne Moreau. Go to Full Review

Perhaps Welles, in playing a man who doesn't understand art, was embodying his more vitriolic critics. He was presenting ever more complex art to critical agents, and was constantly met with confusion and literal interpretations. Go to Full Review

@ExcessMale 09/25/2021 Needs another 30 to 40 minutes to be satisfying and feel like like a true project from Orson Welles. See more 12/16/2016 This is the last fictional feature film from Orson Welles and to me it's a minor work. It doesn't have his usual flare and is pretty short, running just 58mins. It's worth watching for film buffs and I did enjoy Jeanne Moreau in it, but it was a challenge to get through and I would only recommend for serious film enthusiasts.
