Hunter N This was rough to watch. My wife and I love comedy and normally love some of these comedians, but wow, laughed maybe at one comic. I did think it was cool to see the old clips of some of the greats, but even the clips that were chosen weren't that great. This was a big miss for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review Marc Z The Improv is a historic place and the birthplace of many Stand up careers. This 60th anniversary tribute is decent. Like a night of stand up it is very funny in some parts and not so much in others. The show intersperses modern stand up performances with old footage. The old footage is great. Interesting look at comedy history. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review jake s So much history and such an iconic place! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review David P With a diverse selection of comics giving live performances, as well as nostalgic clips interspersed between sets, it was enjoyable to get a smattering of the styles of comedy that's been showcased through this esteemed club. But (oh how I hate to be writing this), let's talk about the closer: Jo Koy. I have enjoyed and respected his style and content for years, but WTF? Was he HIGH? It's one thing to rabbit-trail and SQUIRREL! as a comedic style, but seriously...his train of thought left the station, jumped the track and stalled so many times, as he giggled his way through an incoherent set. I love you Jo Koy, but what happened? (To be clear, I am NOT cannabis shaming. Get haf if you want. I support everyone's choice to do so.)
