Insurance salesman and family man Joseph Chambers wants to acquire the skills to be able to take care of his family in case of an apocalypse. He decides to go deer hunting by himself for the first time ever, despite his wife's objections. Setting out into the mountains with a borrowed rifle, Joe roams the woods aimlessly in his search for deer. His boredom is short-lived, however, when in the blink of an eye, Joe undergoes a traumatic experience. What starts as an experiment to prove himself as a capable father and husband turns into a nightmare as Joe finds himself faced with a terrible choice that he must make.

Machoian and his sound designer, Peter Albrechtsen, layer those natural sounds with occasional bursts of seemingly unnatural ones, mirroring Joseph’s increasingly unbalanced psyche and maximizing tension.

Man has breakdown after hunting accident. The exchanges with the victim might have offered some development but this really goes nowhere in particular very very slowly.

Honestly, pure garbage. Not the cast or crew, good acting. Good cinematic style. The storyline is completely garbage. Why not just go to the cops, easy peasy, but no the story is exactly what no-one would do. Its similar to a poor horror when the teenagers run toward troubie instead of away. l can't believe the director took on such a completely garbage story. Wated my time.

The moral dilemma is the most problematic part of this story. This could happen to anyone. Accidents do happen, but what do we do next is the question. Just a regular guy hunting in the woods. Acting realistically and haunting as the story unfolds all the way to the end.

Synopsis
