      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

At once restless and plodding, The Jungle Bunch is a woefully indistinct piece of animated kiddie fare.

Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review I tried to concentrate on the visuals and then they reminded me how much I liked Madagascar more than I thought I liked it the first time I saw it. Nov 6, 2018 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times At worst, the English dialogue sounds as if it were translated from dolphin noise into human. Sep 19, 2017 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian Loud and zappy, The Jungle Bunch trots out predictable be-kind-be-brave platitudes, but lacks anything distinctive of its own. Rated: 2/5 Sep 15, 2017 Full Review Jim Schembri 3AW [A] worthwhile, colourful dollop of time-killing family fodder that honours the tradition of anthropomorphised animals set in train by Disney and later pushed by Dreamworks with the Madagascar series. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 6, 2018 Full Review Ross Miller The National (Scotland) The narrative somehow manages to feel both restless and painfully slow at times. Rated: 2/5 Nov 6, 2018 Full Review Vicky Roach Daily Telegraph (Australia) Even for a G-rated animated adventure, The Jungle Bunch is fairly tame. StephenPaul C The greatest 01 hour: and 37 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It was alright, for a kids movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review kevin c A group of like minded animals in the jungle join forces to protect their beloved jungle from some animals who just want chaos. Not a bad kids movie with good animation and a fun little story. Harmless fluff, kids will enjoy it much more than the adults. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Best movie I've ever seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Just weird. More confusing than a David Lynch movie, unintentionally hilarious in places. Amazed that this made it into UK cinemas, but at the same time I'm glad I took my 7 year old to see it because we now have a new bunch of ridiculous catchphrases to shout at each other. Favourite line - 'he is a hero, he put the lotion on my butt!' It's almost as if the English translators were on mushrooms and just made the dialogue up when overdubbing the original French script, Magic Roundabout-style. Summary - terrible and great Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member As I understand, this cartoon from the point of view of critics was a failure, especially as an attempt to make a big movie from a weak series. In general, the franchise "The Jungle Bunch" I liked, although I started watching from September 2017, starting with this cartoon. In general, the entire franchise, like this cartoon, I put 4/5!
