My god, what an ending. 'The King Tide' pulls off one of the gutsiest, most unsettling final acts I’ve seen in a horror film in a minute, a nightmare of mounting tension with devastating results.

Excellent slow paced drama/horror, almost a folk tale, amazing cinematography and music, adding suitable additions to the feelings of isolation and reliance on the resources of the island. A really interesting film, thoroughly enjoyed this.

Absolutely fantastic hidden gem, only watched it due to recommendation on RLM, but it’s everything they said and more. Brilliant cast, clear motivations and it’s has a lot to say about what people are capable of when their security is threatened. The young lead is superb, hopefully a bright future awaits
