The Land isn't a perfect film, but it is a hell of a good start, and director Caple Jr. -- and his young cast -- are artists to keep an eye on, for sure.

One of THE most boring typical ghetto flicks ever. I was hoping they skateboard clowns would all get whacked. More realistic in that manner. Don't waste your time.

It's nothing especially fresh - but it's a solid story of 4 inner city boys that are wanting to make it in the skateboarding world. When small crimes open doors for larger ones with more $, they get in over their heads.

The Land is a great debut by Steven Caple Jr. Thanks to a cast with great chemistry, led by Jorge Lendeborg, the character driven story thrives - even if there isn’t anything “new” to this type of narrative.
