Travis DeShong Washington Post As for any nuggets of interest that might be there, the film's off-putting clumsiness makes digging for them a chore. Rated: .5/4 Aug 20, 2019 Full Review Randy Cordova Arizona Republic It's the type of premise that simply makes one wonder what they would do in a similar situation, which is usually a good sign. Rated: 3.5/5 May 1, 2019 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Although the script by director Jeff Lipsky lends itself more to a stage or even a book adaptation, much in this complex, cross-generational drama is provocative, profound and worth considering. Apr 25, 2019 Full Review Mark Dawidziak Cleveland Plain Dealer It is well worth seeing because it reaches emotional depths in revelations that are as haunting as they are powerful. There is many a glimmer of greatness here, even if the film itself falls short of greatness. Rated: B May 31, 2019 Full Review Ray Pride Newcity The machinations and contortions and straight-up barefacedness of Lipsky's screenplay... make once more for eye-popping performances even when there are eye-rolling details. Rated: 5/10 May 2, 2019 Full Review Harvey S. Karten Shockya.com A theatrical Holocaust drama with a shocking revelation. Rated: B Mar 24, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

It was incredibly done ! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/02/19 Full Review Audience Member This movie is incredible! You get so hypnotized by the conflict of that family that time flies! The subject is very interesting, it makes us think about other people's points of view in a new way. You'll talk about it for weeks. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Haunting...unforgettable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I’m not sure what the “professional” reviewers were smoking, but this was positively the worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life. Ever. In 61 years. Badly written, badly acted, badly edited. Even the sound production was awful. We thought about walking out, but we had to see where this train wreck ended up. It wasn’t pretty. It’s too bad, because the idea behind the script is a pretty good one. Matriarch of a large Jewish family, as she’s about to die, reveals that she’s really a secret Nazi who tortured Jews at Auschwitz, but who has kept this dark secret for 70 years. Great potential, but appallingly poor execution. Please don’t waste the $10 or 2 hours. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/26/19 Full Review Audience Member Very thought provoking and moving.
