The Last American Colony is a story of an invisible island -- Puerto Rico. Told through the eyes of Juan Segarra, a Harvard educated man who embraces the independence movement and becomes a member of Los Macheteros, a group dedicated to achieving its goals through armed struggle.

All persons are free by nature and are equal in their inherent and inalienable rights. Among these is liberty. I applaud the vulnerability and courage to create this documentary. The documentary footage used is excellent and the storyline is spot on. This should be shown, at appropriate levels of constructive education, in all public schools in Puerto Rico and the United States. Kudos to those who follow the dictates of their conscious and volition.
