Synopsis
While the uncertainty rises over the continuity of the illegal Madrilenian district La Cañada Real, the film follows the daily life of members of the Gabarre-Mendoza family, each member struggling in their own way with their life being in transition.
Last Days of Spring is a hybrid film, set in an existing community. The family Gabarre Mendoza are ‘real’ members of this existing community under threat. The hybrid approach of working with non-actors and a documentary aesthetic combined with small fictionalized storylines places the film within the neo-realistic tradition.
