A pair of interwoven stories set in the present and past, THE LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER follows Ellie Haworth (Felicity Jones), an ambitious journalist who discovers a trove of secret love letters from 1965 and becomes determined to solve the mystery of the forbidden affair at their center. As she uncovers the story behind Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley), the wife of a wealthy industrialist, and Anthony O'Hare (Callum Turner) the financial journalist assigned to cover him, a love story of Ellie's own begins to unfold with the assistance of an earnest and endearing archivist (Nabhaan Rizwan) who helps her track down more letters. Based on the novel by JoJo Moyes and directed by Augustine Frizzell.

Jones and Woodley are more than capable of capturing the humanity of their characters... Where the film falls short is in being able to provide any astute or profound observations about the romantic complications that fuel the film's central plot.

Watchable, but not particularly good. I thought the acting was decent, but the story was not very good. The characters were not likeable. It is basically just a movie about how a woman cheats on her husband with a guy who previously cheated on his wife and then somehow they are the heroes you should root for. Not worth it.

This was such a good movie! The actors chosen for the roles was perfect, and the two storylines worked so well running parallel to each other. I would highly recommend this movie!

I don't really like romance movies, but this one I found entertaining and engaging. The what ifs of the story were heart breaking. The predictable happy ending was no surprise, but well executed. Felicity Jones was terrific. Really liked this film.
