Tim S "The Last Showing" has Robert Englund playing a rather sinister cinema worker wreaking havoc after being fired from his job. Martin and Allie go to a late night showing of Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes 2. Once at the cinema they meet Stewart ( Robert Englund ) in attendance at the concession stand who drugs the soda they purchase. While they settle into the movie Stewart is sacked by the manager but in an act of revenge begins to create his own real life horror film.  After attacking the cinema manager, Stewart cuts the movie forcing Martin and Alley to take up the central character rolls of his home made horror feature. The tension build is really good with Englund clearly having fun with the character. Stewart's psychotic behaviour is diluted with playfulness that adds a sense of fun to the dark proceedings. With its really creative story I found "The Last Showing" to be an entertaining, fun, dark, almost comedy horror with vibes reminiscent of "The Abominable Dr. Phibes." Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It found it pretty enjoyable for something that is still a straight forward horror movie, and doesn't go much off the system set in place. It was still pretty fun to watch as the plot unfolds in a pretty good way. Ending is a little predictable though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member i mean... i've definitely seen worse. but this was not very good. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I like Bob Englund but what a sac of poop this is. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/19 Full Review Audience Member Boring boring boring Robert England was probably desperate for money Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not as bad as I thought. It has a very original plot. I've never seen one like it before. Robert Englund is enjoyable as well Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Naila Scargill Exquisite Terror With frustratingly little to sink one's teeth into, the film is just as forgettable as the formulaic films it seeks to mock. Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Andrew Pollard Starburst Clever, crazed and contagious, The Last Showing is a film that is awash with tradition, twists, atmosphere, and charm. Does for multiplexes what Jaws did for water. Rated: 7/10 Apr 12, 2018 Full Review Anton Bitel Grolsch Film Works You can admire its self-referential construction, its meta murder, its games with perspective - but in the end, Stuart is less another iconic villain for Englund than a self-satisfied smartarse with a sadistically psychotic streak.
