Peter A little different than what I expected but good nonetheless. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/17/21 Full Review Kayleigh G I like that the last son likes animals…he kills people. But dude loved nature and animals. Not too much gore. The music behind it is neat. Lots of bass. The story is good enough… it doesn't deserve as low as a score as it got. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Rachel J This is the first review I've ever left and I'm only leaving it to prevent anyone else from suffering through this god awful movie. Just punch yourself in the head 18 times instead it's the same effect. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review gwhiteye Half way decent acting... a story that could have made better sense if told with a few more details, but overall pretty bad. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/19/23 Full Review Michael D L Warmed up to the characters, slowly. Some scenes from a cinematic view were noteworthy, but not consistent. And although the storyline was mysterious, it should've been a flat-out horror western. Less is more would've worked to this films advantage. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/26/23 Full Review Kandy A This film lacks an understandable story line. An idea which does not deliver. Best thing about it is a quality cast and they deliver. Worst thing about it is a WTF experience at the end. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Leslie Felperin Guardian Mossman’s score and the filtered, painterly cinematography by David Gallego are by some distance the film’s most interesting features; the rest of the drama is in fact a slog, full of ponderous long takes and somewhat tinny dialogue. Rated: 3/5 Aug 2, 2022 Full Review Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com For a tale that's the classically heavy stuff of Greek tragedy, The Last Son offers woefully little suspense or momentum. Rated: 2/4 Dec 10, 2021 Full Review Michael Nordine Variety Worthington has been inconsistent in the past, but he's solid in a role that emphasizes his physical presence while only calling on him to speak when absolutely necessary. Dec 9, 2021 Full Review Chris Ward Flickering Myth The Last Son is a one-and-done viewing experience even for the hardcore western fan. Aug 19, 2022 Full Review John Townsend Starburst Tim Sutton has taken Greg Johnson’s simple, yet interesting premise and produced a slow-burning, grim and gritty film that barely scratches the surface of its potential. Rated: 2/5 Aug 9, 2022 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews It can be viewed as a high-concept Western, but with a scenario that's darker than most Westerns.
