Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) A strange but enjoyable hybrid of martial arts movie and folksy comedy from first-time New Zealand director Kiel McNaughton. Rated: 3/5 Mar 11, 2020 Full Review John Serba Decider On the whole, it's an entertaining 100-or-so minutes. May 20, 2021 Full Review Liam Lacey Original Cin This fun (and blood-free) low-budget action-comedy hits the right notes. Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Jared Mobarak Jaredmobarak.com So expect ample drama with the action. Fritz is a big man who needs to learn a lesson before teaching one on this tough road towards clarity. The [film] is also pretty funny. Rated: 7/10 Nov 12, 2020 Full Review Cain Noble-Davies FILMINK (Australia) ...like a bombastic graphic novel brought roaring to cinematic life, where every punch, beat and quotable piece of dialogue is a certified haymaker. Rated: 17.5/20 Mar 8, 2020 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz A crowdpleasing action-comedy that feels like a cross between Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle, cult Kiwi movie Tongan Ninja and the weird and wacky criminal world of Guy Richie movies. Charlie G Poorly executed film. Lacked substance. Could not get into it at all. The main characters were poorly developed. The plot was weak. The humour was ok in parts. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A overall great movie I would suggest this to book wrestling fans and numb frankly he reminds me of Walking Tall movie based in Samoa all in all I'd give it solid 10 to 10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review kevin c A young Tongan man whose father was a legendary wrestling champion, takes matters into his own hands when his home is robbed by a well known neighborhood gang and his father's treasured championship belt is stolen. Interesting film explores the Tongan way of life and protecting the family legacy. Pretty great fight scenes as well. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Dreadful perpetuation of the stereotypes of violence in pacific island culture and in poorer neighbourhoods. Someone needed to use more imagination and creativity. Yuck! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
