"The Liberator" shoehorns the epic life of early 19th-century South American revolutionary Simn Bolivar into two hours of intermittently powerful cinema. Go to Full Review

Arvelo, a Venezuelan like Bolivar, touches many of the essential bases in Bolivar's story. But, perhaps inevitably, he is only able to achieve little more than mere touches. Go to Full Review

Armando G 02/25/2024 It's very hard to find historical films like this one. This film made me grew interest in Simón Bolívar's life despite missing details. My only complain was the editing towards the end. Overall, I highly recommend it if you are curious about Latin American Independence. See more 05/11/2021 Garrett's artistic performance, showmanship and technique was sublime in his portrayal of Paganini. The plot was predictable and Faustian but still entertaining and thought provoking. See more 05/19/2020 I didn't like it at all. It's a collection of exaggerations, historical imprecisions, and conspirative theories serving to Chaves' party interests, it oozes hate against Colombia, Santander, and the USA.
