Armando G It's very hard to find historical films like this one. This film made me grew interest in Simón Bolívar's life despite missing details. My only complain was the editing towards the end. Overall, I highly recommend it if you are curious about Latin American Independence. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review CC C I only watched about 10 minutes, do not like animated movies Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Audience Member A historic must watch. Injustice shall not be forgotten. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Garrett's artistic performance, showmanship and technique was sublime in his portrayal of Paganini. The plot was predictable and Faustian but still entertaining and thought provoking. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't like it at all. It's a collection of exaggerations, historical imprecisions, and conspirative theories serving to Chaves' party interests, it oozes hate against Colombia, Santander, and the USA. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Ithought this was a brilliant movie. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com "The Liberator" shoehorns the epic life of early 19th-century South American revolutionary Simn Bolivar into two hours of intermittently powerful cinema. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 3, 2014 Full Review Lorraine Ali Los Angeles Times Simple enough for audiences who know nothing about Bolvar, poetic enough for those who grew up reading about El Libertador in school books. Oct 2, 2014 Full Review Soren Andersen Seattle Times Arvelo, a Venezuelan like Bolivar, touches many of the essential bases in Bolivar's story. But, perhaps inevitably, he is only able to achieve little more than mere touches. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 2, 2014 Full Review Allen Almachar The MacGuffin Stylistically it's accomplished and Ramirez's performance comes close to redeeming the whole thing all on its own. But when we step away, we can see how the execution is all too familiar. Rated: C+ Jul 17, 2020 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Action and adventure, life and death, love and betrayal, and at the heart of it all, a man who dreamed beyond himself and fought for those dreams. Sweeping, epic, masterful. Dec 14, 2019 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com The Liberator is a nicely framed, highly romanticized, and undeniably dry portrait of a revolutionary.
