I was hesistant to watch it because of the low reviews, but genuinely think this is a great film if you know what you're getting into. The plot around a mom helping a daughter in her 30s get out of a slumb also hit really close to home. If this is you, you will likely enjoy it even more. That's what happened with this sweet movie. The acting is very good, the emotional resonance is there and you see the main character's growth as she completes each item on her list. I highly recommend it for a date movie with your girl. She will love it and you won't hate it due to the complex facets in the story. Yes, it is very predicteble, yes there is very little conflict and very little edge, but sometimes, that is precisely what you need. I expected so much more from this movie, but it ended up being quite boring. The actors are beautiful, but unfortunately their performances didn’t convince me. The storyline feels flat, there’s barely any real plot, and compared to the book many key elements are missing. This film had so much potential, which makes it even more disappointing.
