Synopsis
Jan (Philip Frame) and Adinda (Geneviève Ambas) are two Dutch orphans who are separated from their foster parents when a powerful storm sends a raging flood through their small town. They, along with their pets, hide out in a nearby building but have no way of safely crossing the dangerous waters until a grizzled sea captain (Theodore Bikel) takes them aboard his boat. As the trio searches for Jan and Adinda's parents, the children realize the crusty captain isn't as mean as he seems.
