Steve C @RT19610513 2d If you've seen the 2008 anime with almost the same name, it's loosely the same. I'm not too thrilled with the sci-fi story line in this film. I think the anime version is better. The stop motion animation was definitely the right choice, instead of using the rather limited computer animation technology, used in limited parts of the film. Because of the ending credits, I assume Tomoyo Harada was a teen idol at the time which explains why her singing was so much better than that other guy during the film. See more Read all reviews
