Audience Member The typical underdog story, where we go into the life and mind of 14 year old (or so) Jo. He has a vivid imagination and it's a nice trick to let us get lost in his thaughts. It's funny and a great feature. He is of course unpopular and has troubles with friends, parents but first and foremost girls. Nice flick for the younger audience with some great moments for the adult viewer as well. 6.5 out of 10 football cards. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Witty movie about a 12-year-old boy, Jo Idstad, whose father dies accidentally (he fell while he was taking a shower). Since this unfortunate day his mother becomes overprotective and Jo becomes overanxious. Jo is bullied by the local bullies and he won't play soccer because he's too scared of getting injured. This all changes when a new girl comes to town. The film deals with a lot of serious matters like bullying, standing up for yourself, puberty, friendship and love in a funny way. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Some beautiful fantasy moments in an endearing little narrative from Norway that we enjoyed on a double-header @ the MIFF.
