The S This has good reviews on Amazon so I was tricked into trying it out. I'm the first 6 minutes I could already tell the stars were hired because they knew someone who financed the film and then it just got worse from there. To be honest, I didn't watch it all the way through…I literally couldn't make it. Back in the 80s, low budget horror was at least fun, creative and cheesy. These days, people produce absolute garbage like this which is unwatchable and then wonder why they get such low ratings. Well, I guess they've got the Amazon system gamed so they're much better at gaming reviews than they are at making movies. Abysmal…zero stars to everything from the cast to the acting to the writing…the dialogue, the music, the cinematography. All complete and utter rubbish and I write that unapologetically to help keep someone else from wasting the 10-15 minutes I did on it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/19/23 Full Review Ares C No es realmente aterradora, pero logra crear una atmósfera de suspenso, la trama es algo debil, pero coherente dentro de si misma, no esta mal si busca una película para pasar el Rato, pero definitivamente no es lo que buscas si quieres ver una Película que no te deje dormir Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Elle W Scout Taylor-Compton is as appealing as ever, but the film is just all right. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review steve d Scout Taylor-Compton is always solid, but every other aspect of the film is like a bad fan-film. The film is nearly incoherent. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Carlos I It's not as engaging as it needs to be for a movie about death cults, even all the excessive gruesome (albeit well done) effects by the end did little to up the ante. Ultimately I was just bored throughout this thing, which is a death blow for something like this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/16/22 Full Review Rebekah P I always forget I watched this and what it was about. It wasn't very good. The acting wasn't very good. Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle While The Long Night may not be revolutionary, it's definitely got its own dark magic. Feb 5, 2022 Full Review Peter Sobczynski RogerEbert.com Even the most indulgent of genre fans will find The Long Night a chore to sit through. Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 4, 2022 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies Neither the spooky backwoods tropes or the deranged death cult can muster the kind of tension this movie desperately needs. Rated: 2/5 Aug 16, 2022 Full Review Matt Donato Paste Magazine In with a whimper, out with a smatter of blood, leaving audiences scratching their heads. Rated: 4.0/10 Jun 30, 2022 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed The Long Night is a beautiful to look at, dark film with some truly tense moments, some sequences that are actually surprising, and a few images that will stick with the viewer for a while afterwards. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 29, 2022 Full Review Jared Mobarak The Film Stage Everyone involved does the best with what they're given, perhaps saving The Long Night from being even more forgettable. The script does none of them any favors by fearing its own mythology and hiding it in a way that makes it seem like it has none. Rated: C- Jun 28, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
